On behalf of the Cherryville New Year Shooters I would like to thank everyone for making the 2008 New Year's shooting event a success. Thank you to all the police, fire, and medical personnel that made this year's event safe and orderly. We could not do this without your involvement. Also to Gaston County Schools for the use of Rudisill Stadium for the final shot. This gives spectators a safe and enjoyable way to see the shooters. This year we had 354 shooters from several states and many spectators from surrounding cities and states. And a big thank you to the City of Cherryville for allowing this tradition to continue now and the many years to come.
Sincerely,
Rusty Wise Secretary Cherryville New Year Shooters Inc.

Thank you shooters for a great 2007 event. Even though it rained during the night, this year's event went very well. We stayed on schedule the entire 18.5 hours. I had many good comments from our hosts on the schedule and they look forward to seeing us next year. We had 301 registered shooters this year and that was great considering the weather. Thanks to everyone for making this the best and most unique custom in America!
